Going Home with Roman and the Rosarys
As a fan of Roman Aul's releases under the name "Redondo Beat," I took note of this album when it came out and immediately added it to my Apple Music library. I didnāt give it more than one listen. (this was also at the hight of the COVID lockdown, so I was probably dealing with a lot of craziness in both work and life to fully give this the proper attention).
Fast forward to 2024, when I started my record collecting. I had previously ordered both of Romanās Redondo Beat albums, and wanted to ācomplete the setā so to speak. Listening to this on Vinyl really made the music come to life this time around. Kicking off with a beautiful rendition of the classic spiritual āWade In the Water,ā and including a mix of originals as well as covers, This album finally founds itās way āhomeā as a treasured piece in my music collection.
